Hairy Maclary is a naughty dog for he is constantly hustling all the neighbourhood cats.He knows them all by sight and he knows their names, so much so that he knows exactly where to chase them so that their troublesome outcome always ends in places with rhyming words!For instance, Greywacke Jones was hunting a bee before he was chased up a sycamore tree, Butterball Brown was washing a paw and ended up under a rickety door, while Mushroom Magee was asleep on a ledge but Hairy chased her away through a hole in the hedge ... and so on ...That is until Hairy Maclary met his match when he encountered Scarface Claw who was a fierce looking cat and who bothered, bustled, rustled and hustled Hairy until he chased him all the way home.
