Unfortunately, I missed Colonel Boatner’s instruction while at West Point. I am glad, however, to meet him here in the many pages of his excellent research. From his other writings, he appears to successfully employ the efficient strategy of using one stone to kill two or more birds. His research on any particular war, be it the American Revolution, the Civil War, or World War II, could also likely be turned into a dictionary, an encyclopedia, or a book on customs, traditions, and landmarks. His American Revolution encyclopedia has definitely helped me in my own books in the past, and I am currently using it as a valued resource for several new books I’m writing.As a fellow author, I'd say the book is very well done and highly recommended!
