It leaves them to individually encounter all that has been haunting them, and to determine in some unquantifiable way what their relationship means to them when faced with what every relationship faces: the unknown. Lesley Glaister has once again achieved in Limestone and Clay a remarkably true and moving account of people facing their own darkest fantasies while fiercely trying to hold on to those they love.
